Elizabeth

Elizabeth began her career in veterinary care in 2013, working with former fighting ring dogs at Best Friends Animal Society, focusing on positive reinforcement training and gaining hands-on technical experience through managing complex medical cases like Babesia, common within this particular group of canines. Her early work also included catch-and-release spay and neuter programs on local reservations, where she first shadowed in a clinical setting. Since then, she has worked across shelter medicine and private practices throughout California.

While she’s always loved “healing cats,” Liz also discovered a passion for “herding cats” the systems, structure, and team dynamics that keep a clinic running smoothly. After becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician, she worked her way up from veterinary assistant to treatment floor lead, to technician manager, and now practice manager. She prides herself on being an advocate for her team, knowing that the heart of a well-oiled veterinary practice lies with its support staff, technicians and receptionists alike.

Outside of work, when Liz isn’t busy juggling texts and calls from the veterinary team, you’ll likely find her soaking up the sunshine with a cup of tea in hand. She loves long (really long) walks with her old lady dog, Shiva, and squeezing in as many Pilates classes as the day allows. Always in pursuit of a little peace and quiet, Liz also makes it a priority to sneak away to the East Coast whenever possible to spend quality time with her family. In the meantime, her work team has become a cherished part of her adopted West Coast family.
